Application Form

This is an application form for the TECHSCEnE REU program at MTU. Please fill in all the information requested in this form. It is important that you carefully follow these instructions to ensure that we can review your complete application. Questions should be sent to techscene@mtu.edu.

Your application package consists of:

Application form (below)
Two letters of Recommendation
Transcript

Please send your most recent academic transcript(PDF format) to techscene@mtu.edu after you complete the application form.

Application deadline: March 15, 2023

Your complete application package(application form, transcript, and 2 recommendation letters) must be submitted by this deadline.

If accepted to the program, you are expected to travel to Michigan Technological University(MTU) and stay at MTU for the duration of the program. Also, you are expected to NOT have any other concurrent commitments(including, but not limited to internships, co-ops, online courses etc.) for the duration of the program.

Information you need to have prior to starting the application form:

Your current GPA and expected graduation date
Name and contact details of two persons who will provide you a recommendation letter
Your preferences from the list of projects in the TECHSCEne REU program

After submitting the application form :

Once your application form has been submitted, the next steps in the application process are:

1) Send your most recent transcript to techscene@mtu.edu

2) Follow-up with the persons recommending you to ensure they have submitted the recommendation letter

After the complete application package is received, a decision will be made(sometime in late March - early April) and you will be notified through email.
